THOMAS THWAITE: Theater, track and being a ginger
May 8, 2017
Senior Thomas Thwaite has been involved in soccer, track, and a multitude of fine art activities during his career at the Academy.
He joined the theater program this year, but also took part in the Stratford 2012 production of “Bye, Bye Birdie.” Thomas believes theater has greatly opened many new opportunities and people to meet.
He has participated in track since the sixth grade and throws the shot put and discus. Thomas joined the soccer team last year because some of his peers convinced him to buy “FIFA 15,” which got him interested in soccer.
He took part in literary team for the first time by performing a skit with a fellow student Riley Davis about what it is like to be a ginger.
One of his favorite memories was when he played football, and Stratford beat FPD. Fans trampled over the opponent’s fence to get to the field.
Thomas’s advice to the rising high schoolers is to take the classes you want to take, and not to take them just because they are APs.
