Food drive under way for Mentor’s Project

The Spirit of Stratford Band and the Lower School fourth grade classes are sponsoring a backpack drive through May 19 to benefit the Macon Mentor’s Project.
Students are asked to bring food items to Mrs. Robin Schorr’s desk in the Upper School. Other drop-off points are Mrs. Sue Appleby’s office in the Middle school and the front offices at the Lower School and Preschool.
Gift cards to grocery stores, department stores and restaurants also are being accepted.
The following is “wish list” of items by the Mentor’s Project.
CEREAL, JELLY, NOODLES, PEANUT BUTTER, RICE, PEANUT BUTTER CRACKERS, RICE AND PASTA, CHIPS, COOKIES, POP TARTS, FRUIT SNACKS, JUICE BOXES, SPAGHETTI SAUCE AND NOODLES, MAC AND CHEESE, FRUIT JUICE, TUNA, CANNED CHICKEN, RICE KRISPY TREATS.
