RUSSELL MOLE: Sports, socks and Eagle Pride forever

May 26, 2017

Russell Mole came to Stratford in sixth grade.

“I came from another school where I’d been with my friends for so long, so it was a little weird and different, but the environment kind of set me. It felt like a family,” he said.

Russell has been a part of the basketball, baseball, track, and football teams during his time here.

His favorite memory from his time at Stratford was the Stratford-FPD game in 2015. His favorite memory from being on the football team was when they finally beat Aquinas High School.

“We hate that team so much, so [beating them] was my favorite memory,” he said.

Russell’s most embarrassing memory from his time here was not on the football field, but on the stage.

“I was in a play, and I forgot my socks, so I was slipping around,” he said. “That was a rough time.”

Russell plans to continue playing football during college if he gets the opportunity, but for now he plans to attend the University of West Georgia to study criminal justice.

Russell said he will miss the learning environment at Stratford.

“The teachers, the students, it really doesn’t matter what grade you’re in, you will find a friend in every single grade you have. That’s what I’ll miss,” he said,

Russell’s message to underclassmen is to enjoy their time here while it lasts. It goes by very quickly.

“Enjoy your times with your friends, and live life to the fullest,” he said.
