5th Graders Help Keep Macon Warm for the Winter

Stratford’s annual coat drive has reached new heights this year, as the Fifth Grade Council collected 322 coats and sweaters for Macon Outreach, making this year the most successful.

“Thanks our students along with our families here at Stratford,” said lower school teacher Mr. Bill Reynolds, coordinator of the fifth grade council, “we are annually the largest single giver of these much needed items to Macon Outreach.”

According to Reynolds, the donated coats will be vital to helping people get through the cold winter months.

“There’s so many homeless people in our community,” Reynolds said, “and Macon Outreach opens its doors and either sells or gives the coats to people in need.”
