Sloane Ramsbottom

She will miss the 'family-like community and traditions we hold at school'

Sloane Ramsbottom has been a student at Stratford Academy since preschool. This outstanding senior has made many memories with her classmates.  Some of the ones that stick out are making crafts in preschool as well as having class parties organized by the room moms.

Her favorite teacher is Upper School math teacher Mr. Griff Ethridge. “He has been here forever, is a Stratford legend, and also taught me math and actually passed me,’’ she said.

Sloane said a particularly embarrassing memory that stuck out was when she was walking down the main hallway. Her skirt had gotten stuck under her book bag and nobody told her until she was over half way down the hallway Upper School principal Mrs. Margaret Brogdon pulled her aside and told her that her “undergarments” were showing.

Sloane’s favorite lunchroom food is either the chocolate chip or sugar cookies, a school favorite.

As graduation grows closer and closer the “senioritis” in the air is growing thicker. However, Sloane said she will miss her Spanish class. She has been taking it since pre-K and loves the language.

She said she will miss the “family-like community and the traditions we hold at this school.”
