Daffodils, state tournament a school tradition
Beautiful flowers are given to fans at basketball games
February 19, 2018
It’s the middle of February, but the Stratford Eagles don’t have to look at the calendar.
They know what it means.
The state basketball tournament has started.
And the daffodils are back.
Daffodils are the official Stratford flower and have been a tradition at the school during the state basketball playoffs for more than 50 years.
Head cheerleading coach, Mrs. Wendy Woodcock, said the cheerleaders will be passing out daffodils to fans at the games. Both the Eagles and Eaglettes are competing in the state tournament.
