The Pit

You never quite know what is going to happen in The Pit.

It’s a place for parking, hanging out and reflecting on the school day.

The Pit has become one of Stratford’s most well known Wonders. Hidden next to the baseball field, it got its unique name from its unique location– a pit-like area next to the tennis courts and below the teacher parking lot. Although the hike to home room in the morning can be exhausted and time consuming, The Pit is loved by the majority of the sophomore and junior classes.

The Pit came along in 2016, when students moved excitedly to the new parking lot. Prior to The Pit, sophomores and juniors who drove to school were directed to park next to the football field and field house. The Pit gave these younger students a place to hang out, leaving the seniors alone in the Senior Lot.

The Pit has been a hit at Stratford, and will continue to be a one of its Wonders.
