SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Karen Jarrard

Although she is a Georgia College Bobcat, Karen Jarrard has an appreciation for another animal — horses She rides them in her free time.

Karen has attended Stratford for 14 years, beginning when she was in Pre-K. Her favorite teachers have been Upper School English Teacher,Mrs. Michelle Fleming, and Upper School History Teacher, Mr. Stephen O’Hara. Karen has had Mrs. Fleming as her homeroom teacher for the past four years, and refers to her by the alias of “school mom.” The Class of 2019 was the first class Mr. O’Hara taught, and Karen relishes the relationship she and her class got to make with him.

Extracurricularly, Karen throws for the varsity track team, is a co-editor on the Gazebo, is an equestrian, and was Pep Club president.

While she will miss FLIK’s hot, delicious french fries, Karen will miss her friends most.

“I love waking up every morning knowing I’m going to see them,” Karen said.
