Wish you were here … I’m glad I was

Travis Scott performance at Music Midtown was a night to remember

The lights went off and the Astroworld introduction video began playing. I had only seen this video from online live streams of concerts.

I was in a moment of awe.  I was about to see Travis Scott, one of the best rappers of our generation.

The intro ended,  and he began playing “Stargazing,”  which is the first song he always plays during his Astroworld tour.

I was about 20 yards away from the front of the stage at Music Midtown in Atlanta. My friends and I had been waiting there for over two hours. We were ready.

Travis came sprinting out to  “Stargazing” and it took off from there. I had never been in a mosh pit like this before. This was crazy. My adrenalin was pumping. I could feel myself sweating, but the whole time I just kept jumping.

The concert continued, and it just kept getting better and better. He was playing one good song after another.

The pits may be too much for some people but, I remember about three minutes into “Stargazing” mI literally saw 25 people collapse in front of me. I was on the very edge of it and avoided it, but it was the funniest thing in the world to me because I saw Guy Neal, a friend of mine, at the bottom of it, and I had no idea he was even near me.

The concert continued, and it just kept getting better and better. He was playing one good song after another.

I met this guy, Billy Nasser, who is famous for being a raver at Travis concerts. I was shocked to see him, but we just vibed after that. There was one point where he was standing on my shoulders and pointing up at Travis Scott and he looked right at us, it was legendary.

The Travis Scott experience is one of the most fun things I’ve ever done.  As the Astroworld motto states, “Wish You Were Here.”
