I’m Just a Phony
Don’t look at me, I’m just a fake
A diamond imposter, a conman
I know I try the best I can
But the way they all neglect me makes me ache
I don’t have the luster that diamond has to offer
Even my most pristine form cannot compare
When I’m cut up into cubes I’m as bright as a flare
But my diamond counterpart is still even glossier
I wish I weren’t a cheap alternative
But compared to diamond, I must be modest
If I cost that much, it would be pandemonium
Although diamonds are superlative
My efforts do not go unnoticed
For I am not diamond, I am just zirconium
