Faculty Enjoy SIP’s Ticket Depot

“The Ticket Depot,” instituted by Stratford Interested Parents (SIP), is a popular program that benefits Stratford’s faculty and staff by making available free unused tickets to games, concerts, plays, or any type of event that requires a ticket.

The depot facilitator, on behalf of SIP, is Mrs. Marsha Creter, assistant to the head of school.  If members of the Stratford community have tickets they cannot use, they alert Creter and bring the tickets to her. Creter then emails the faculty and staff with details of the donation.  Anyone interested in the tickets responds to Creter’s e-mail and she places their names in a hat for a drawing.

“It’s very popular with our staff and faculty,” said Creter.

Previous winners have picked up tickets to sporting events including Mercer and UGA football and basketball games, theatre productions, as well as big name concerts in Atlanta.

“I was so surprised at getting my name drawn. My kids and I were so excited to go,” Alana Cowart, receptionist, and winner of Taylor Swift tickets said.

SIP encourages parents to not let their tickets go to waste.

“This is a fun opportunity,” said Creter.
