NORCROSS – The Stratford Eagles lost a hard-fought game against Wesleyan School, 48-21, on Friday.

The kickoff was delayed for an hour because of heavy rain and lightning.

Sim Patrick and Quintez Cephus connected on three touchdowns for the Eagles. Patrick, a senior quarterback, completed 10-of-16 passes for 113 yards. Cephus, a senior split end, caught eight of those passes for 99 yards.

“It was a good game,” said freshman Bobby McCord. “I’m proud of everyone. We just couldn’t pull through”.

After playing their first two games on the road, the Eagles have an open date this week. The home opener is on Friday, September 18 against Aquinas.
