The Chinese Guangzhou Art Group performed at Stratford’s Middle School assembly on Monday morning.

The international student performance included traditional Chinese dance and folk music.

After performing at Stratford, the performers will continue their tour in America in four other southern states, visiting colleges and universities.

According to Donna Han, Stratford’s middle school Mandarin instructor, not only college students performed but also professional dancers and ballerinas. There were a total of 43 performers.

Currently, there are three Chinese exhange students at Stratford —  senior Wentao W and junior Pan Qi, and Shijing Gong.

Middle school student, Nora Jorgensen, a seventh-grader, said prior to the performance she was “excited to watch the dancers.”
