‘Sassy Stechers’ take home cup

The ninth-grade advisory of Stratford Academy math teacher Bobby Stecher won the coveted “Frosh Cup” after three months of competition against the other freshmen home rooms.

The final results were announced during an assembly Monday morning in the auditorium. On Tuesday, the “Sassy Stechers” enjoyed a trip around their room, then took their hardware and made a surprise visit to English teacher Michelle Fleming’s room.

Fleming’s class finished second in the Frosh Cup standings. The advisories of science teacher Luke Harrington and director of theatre Sylvia Haynie tied for third.

Among the privileges Stecher’s class will receive will be a “jeans day” and courtside seats at an upcoming basketball game.
