Eagles get huge send-off Friday

The Stratford football team got a huge send-off Friday at 12:45 p.m., as the Eagles departed for Augusta to play Aquinas in the GHSA state semifinals. The “Spirit Walk” was a surprise for the players, who were huddled in a team meeting in the auditorium as the rest of the school got ready for the celebration — from the middle school students in the lunchroom to the lower school lining the stairs by the trophy case. Outside, the players were greeted by the upper school and preschool, as well as faculty, staff and other supporters.  (Photos and videos by HADLEY NEAL and ANNA PAREL)
