After a successful season, Stratford’s varsity golf program is looking to reach the sectional finals.

Led by coaches Cater Pierce and Miles Pippin, the Eagles hope to secure either the third or fourth place spot in their next competition to qualify for the upcoming area meet at Healy Point Country Club.

“I think we could do good this year. We just have to play well,” varsity golfer Brannen Suggs said.

Suggs, one of the program’s most consistent golfers, has been pushing the team to reach area qualification.

“We have gotten a lot better, but I think area will be really hard for us to do well in,” he said.

After the regular season began, Stratford golfers have made sizeable improvements.

“They really improved from the beginning of the season,” said Pippin. “We have the potential to really well in area and qualify for sectionals.”
