WORD OF THE WEEKEncaustic painting — Sometimes known as “hot wax” painting, it involved adding colored pigments to heated beeswax. It is them applied to a surface, such as wood and other materials. This type of painting is on display during this week’s “Celebrating Art” at Stratford.
