Want to celebrate Caesar’s death as much as the rest of Stratford’s Classics Club?

Sure, some may not see March 15 — the Ides of March — as being all that important.

But for Latin nerds, it is.

The noted last words of Caesar as he was stabbed 23 times by his fellow councilmen, “Et tu, Brute?” will definitely be shouted.

The Classics Club has planned an “Ides of March” party on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at the amphitheater, located between the Science building and library. The event will include a chariot races, gladiator fights, and other activities.

The Rent-A-Roman event, a fundraising auction, has been canceled.  A formal announcement and apology was released by the Classics Club earlier this week.
