Senior Patio will be getting a new look
Students in Mr. Mike Kelley’s design class proposed a plan for the renovation of the senior patio. In recent years, seniors have not been using the patio very often, so the class thought if a few changes were made, more students would use the area.
Senior David Grant said the class plans to make a few significant changes to the outside area. They are replacing all of the table with new, round tables that they will build themselves. They are putting large fans beside the tables, so when it’s hot outside, the seniors will have a way to cool off. They are also adding features such as a retractable net for keeping bugs away and a whole new speaker system.
The designs for the senior patio were passed by both Head of Upper School Mrs. Theresa Ferrari and Head of School Mr. Logan Bowlds, and they will begin the project next week.
They hope to be complete by the end of the first semester.
The students who are doing this project are seniors David Grant, Andrew Delves, Hampton Tiller, and Chidozie Nwabuebo, and sophomore Jack Minette.
