Stratford faced unbeaten Tattnall Square with the Region 7A division A sub-region title on the line Friday night.

It was an outstanding game, dominated by both defenses. The Trojans won 7-3 after Tattnall senior Ahmad Barron scored on a 40-yard touchdown run with 3:12 left in the game.

Junior Jake Jamison kicked a 30-yard field goal near the end of the first half. The Eagles carried that lead until Tattnall’s winning score.

Stratford’s leading rusher was Kasey Sanders, with 102 yards on 20 carries. Stratford recovered two Tattnall fumbles, while Tattnall recovered one Stratford fumble.

The Eagles, 6-3, will travel to Aquinas for Friday’s region cross over game.
