Assemblies on electronic devices, vaping scheduled
Special assemblies have been scheduled for Friday, Feb. 2, and Tuesday, Feb. 6.
Friday’s assembly is a viewing of the documentary, “Screenagers.” The film was made by a doctor from the University of Stony Brook who conducted research about children and screen times. She was motivated to make this film in concern about how much time her children spent on their electronic devices.
Tuesday’s assembly will focus on vaping and abuse of prescription medications by teenagers.
Dr. Jason Smith, a local pediatrician, will be speaking about the harmful consequences of these substances to the high school students.
