Senior Faith Boyington has qualified in four events

 The varsity boys and girls track teams  will have 10 athletes competing in the Georgia High School Association state track meet Friday at Berry College in Rome.

Junior McKinley Thompson and senior Nathan Hunt are the No. 1 and No. 2  seeds in the  high jump. Jourdain Irvin is seeded fourth in shot put, followed by Tucker Massey as No. 7 in pole vault.

“I’m excited about the state meet,” said boys track coach Walt Mays. “I really feel like all four guys have a legitimate chance to medal this year.”

Six girls have qualified for state. Seniors Carolynn Dromsky and Faith Boyington, sophomore Molly Garud and junior Anaya Thomas will compete on the 4×100 relay team. Faith Boyington also has qualified for the 100, triple jump, and long jump.

Molly Garud will compete in the 400, junior Autumn Land will represent Stratford in the pole vault and junior Drake Miscall in the high jump. 

“Our Track team has worked extremely well this spring and we are looking forward to competing in the state meet this weekend,” said girls track Coach David Bailey. “Faith was the Area 1 high point award winner at the Area track meet two weeks ago and will compete in four events this weekend.’
