Girls cross country sets high goals
Girl runners finished first at Stratford Invitational
The Stratford girls cross country team had reason to celebrate after placing first at the annual Stratford Invitational.
The team is coached by Ginny Reeves and is led by four seniors.
“I love getting to run with my friends every day and getting to show the underclassmen that no matter what the conditions are, always give a great effort,” junior Lucy Boswell said.
Lucy is in her first year on the team. She also plays singles in tennis and swims for the Stratford swim team.
Coach Reeves said the team’s goal is to “win area and to be in the top 10 in state.”
The cross country team will have its next meet Sept. 11 in Warner Robins.
