Palmer, Eagles aim for win column

Stratford hosts Washington-Wilkes Friday night

Senior co-captain Christian Palmer is hungry to pick up a win in the Eagle’s second home game of the season Friday night against Washington-Wilkes.

Stratford in winless in two games this season. The Tigers also are searching for their first win.

The senior quarterback transferred to Stratford from Perry High School mid-way through his freshman year. He described Stratford as “welcoming with open arms and it’s like a big family now” when asked about his transition of schools.

He said last year’s victory over Tattnall Square is one of his favorite memories at Stratford.

Christian said he enjoys playing for Coach Mark Farriba and his pre-game poems.

Farriba said Christiand spent a lot of time in the off-season “studying and trying to learn what were trying to do offensively and he’s put a lot of work in.”
