The Stratford Eaglettes volleyball team will be sporting a new look on Thursday.

The players will wear bright pink shorts for Breast Cancer Awareness Month during their games for Senior Night.  The team is raising money for breast cancer patients by having a Pink Out.

I am so excited they wanted to give back to the community and to help others while playing the game they love.

The Pink Out includes activities such as donating money by sponsoring a player for the amount of kills, blocks, digs, assists, or aces a that player gets. There will also be a serving game, in between games at 6 p.m., where one will donate money to play and the winner will get a prize.

The volleyball team also will provide donuts Friday morning for the home room that has the most students attend the game.

“What’s most exciting about this event is that this idea came from the seniors themselves,” head volleyball coach Mrs. Rachel Chabot said. “The whole team planned everything out, and I didn’t have to push them to do anything at all. I am so excited they wanted to give back to the community and to help others while playing the game they love.”
