Literary magazine showcases students’ creativity

One of the biggest compilations of students’ creativity is handed out to students at the end of each school year.

It contains poems, short stories, and artwork from various students in high school and is known as the Literary Magazine. Recently, it started being printed in color, so people could appreciate the artwork more.

This year the editors of the Literary Magazine are Matt Newberry, Jocelyn Tang, and Sarah Pyles. In addition to this, it has a staff of more than 50 people.

The staff reads submissions and votes on which ones are the best. The works with the most votes are featured in the literary magazine. After the voting is complete, the editors will read through each submission and check it for errors.

This magazine is an important part of each year for many students.

“It showcases the creativity of some students especially those who wouldn’t be as comfortable to share something that their passionate about,” Matt said. “This is a really good opportunity for them to express themselves, especially if they’re on the shyer side.”
