The Eaglettes softball team finished the year 20-11. The highlights of the season included winning 20 games, defeating eventual state champion Mount de Sales three times, beating Tattnall Square, playing for the region championship, and cracking the top four in the state.

The Eaglettes the previous season graduated five seniors and won 15 games. With new head Coach Tyler Brown, the young team embraced every challenge.

The Eaglettes will graduate two seniors this year, Nadia Reese and Mary Elaine Mitchell. The two were a force on the field and competed at the plate all year.

Also stepping up big this year for the Eaglettes was junior Kenna McElmurray. Kenna in the region tournament pitched 41 innings in a span of six days and finished the season with more than 130 strikeouts.

Another junior that was a force was Taylor Justice. She had more than 20 RBI’s this season.

The Eaglettes will be gaining more players next year and will have 14 players returning.
