Football stadium to undergo major renovation
Work scheduled to begin in January, completed by next football season
Stratford’s athletic facilities will be getting yet another new upgrade with the new Cantrell Stadium.
This project is very extensive but once it is finished it will be a really nice facility Athletic Director Mark Farriba said.
This project includes a new bricked entrance, an updated concession stand and press box, extended bleacher seating to accommodate playoff football games, new bathrooms connected to the concession stands, and a new pavilion located in between the field house and the stands.
The project will begin in January. The construction timetable will depend on how long the demolition of the press box and stands will take, Coach Farriba said. The project will be complete and finished by next football season.
“If this project causes some inconveniences along the way we can live with it because we want this project done in the best manner possible,” Farriba said.
