Coach MacKensie Turner is in her first year as head coach of the girls varsity volleyball team. She was assistant head coach of the Eaglettes last year.

She played volleyball in her high school at St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Mobile, Alabama and in college. Her high school team won the state championship for four straight years in the Alabama High School Athletic Association.

Coach Turner has coached before for seven years and has played a total of 15 years of club volleyball.

Coach Turner is married and has a 7-month-old daughter, Mary MacKensie Turner.

She believes that they have ”played some great teams and the ones that we fell to have been wonderful teams, very competitive teams that we go neck and neck with so we haven’t had any big losses.”

Coach Turner has loved coaching her players and is proud of their success. Her goal is to make it all the way to state and playoffs and improve their 11-8 record.

The Eaglettes will be playing their regional matches at Strong Rock on Thursday October 8.
