The band will “mourn” the end of the school year by wearing black its final symphonic band performance of the year.

The performance is set to happen on Sunday, April 25 at 7 p.m. at the golf pavilion.

People can bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on while watching the performance.

After the concert, an award ceremony will be held in the Prentice Robinson Cafeteria.

The concert will feature several songs including Jai Ho, Hamilton, Mars, Sing Sing Song, and Malaguena

Senior Nora Jorgensen also will play a clarinet duet with Head of Upper School Mrs. Theresa Ferrari.

The theme of the music is pop, which means the music in the concert will be familiar to the audience. Band director Ms. Laura Voss believes everyone can find something interesting in the concert as the concert will, “ have both broadway and jazz elements.”

“We are going to be outside seven o’clock. It will be a fun pop concert,’’ Ms. Voss said. She  encourages everyone who can to attend the concert.
