Senior running back Russell Mole rushed for 210 yards and scored four touchdowns as the Eagles defeated Mount de Sales, 41-14, in the Region 7A opener for both schools.

Mole had TD runs of 50, 43, 39 and 21 yards.

After the Cavaliers struck for a 68-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, the Eagles defense shut down the Cavaliers on the ground and Stratford’s offense scored 41 unanswered points.

The Eagles have a key region game on the road Friday against Twiggs County.
