On Wednesday, Mr. Mike Kelley’s AP Human Geography class traveled to downtown Macon for a field trip. They visited local businesses, including the Taste and See, in an effort to learn about Macon’s central business district. They also visited Macon’s industrial district to learn  how transportation affects the spatial organization of a city. They wrapped up this field experience with a discussion of Macon’s history, including it’s past businesses and the segregation in the South.
