As We Roll Around the Loop

As we roll into the Academy this Friday we can all breathe a sigh of relief that our first month of school is over. That teacher who was so scary the first day is now one of our favorites, the class that seemed so hard is getting easier, and the seniors are not as scary.

Well to the freshmen, they should still be scary.

Fall is sneaking up on us and I know I’m excited to wear boots, jeans, sweaters, and sweatshirts. It’s still hot in Macon but the temperature is slowly dropping. Soon we won’t even have to break a sweat walking to our cars every afternoon.

The first pep rally this year was in the newly renovated stadium. I know I was hot in my cheerleading uniform; I can’t even imagine how hot it was for those of you in jeans. Coach Ross Bridges, as always, got everyone pumped up for the fall sports. Head Football Coach Mark Farriba gave an awesome speech telling us to “turn up.” And after winning the spirit ladder, the seniors got to boogaloo. Even if it was a million degrees outside, the rally got the Eagles excited for Friday’s game – a 27-6 victory over Pinewood.

More to come as we roll around the loop….
