Homecoming Planning Already Underway

Student Body President Montgomery Jones

The Student Activities Board (SAB) is already hard at work planning homecoming and spirit week for the upper school.

“I really want to get everyone excited and involved. I’d love it if I left Stratford with everyone gaining more school spirit than they had at the beginning of the year,” student body president Montgomery Jones said.

To kick off the new school year, SAB members and advisers went on a one-night retreat to Lake Oconee. Senior SAB representative Holly Hanse said the group met for dinner and discussion in Cuscowilla before returning to the retreat house to begin planning homecoming and spirit week themes.

“The SAB brings fun activities to the upper school, which makes our days at Stratford exciting and interesting. Everyone needs a little break from school work,” Hanse said.

The SAB staff encourages students to join in and share their ideas.

“I have so many fun ideas for this year but I’m all about surprises so you’ll have to wait and see what I have in store for y’all,” Jones said.
