Severe Case of Senioritis
Every day when I wake up, the first thing I do is check how many days I have left until graduation.
Ever since I saw my brother walk across the stage in 2016, I have dreamed of the day I would follow in his footsteps. My parents have always told me how fast high school will go by and I never believed them until now. I feel like just last year I was lost trying to find my way around the upper school hallways.
When I was younger, I hated being away from my family. I have always been a homebody up until the last couple of years. As a freshman and sophomore, I never would have never spent every night out with my friends. Now I am almost never at home.
At the beginning of this year, I was thinking about this being my last year at home with my family and how hard it would be for me to move away from home.
Then, at the end of February, my closest friends and I all got COVID and quarantined together in an apartment. I lived with them for 10 days. Two of them will be my college roommates next year. I realized how much I enjoyed living with them without my parents.
As much as I love my parents and will miss them next year ,I am super excited to graduate and move to Georgia Southern in Statesboro to further my education as an Eagle once again.
