The boys lacrosse team has been making some big shots this season. The Eagles’ roster has seven seniors, who are playing a key role.

The top scorers are seniors Steve Durkee and Cal Whitworth and  Thomas Jones — one of 10 freshmen who make up almost half the team.

Steve Durkee, a senior, has played all four years since the lacrosse program was started. He has provided leadership for the younger players. He said this season is going to be tough but if they pushed themselves the team could do well.

The team is 3-3 this season and is looking to get a winning season this year. This year’s goal for the team is to make the playoffs.

The lacrosse team added Greer Smith as the defensive and assistant coach. He was a former player at Stratford.

The girls lacrosse team is making good strides this season.  Mrs. Lindsey Belle is in her second year as head coach.

The team has had some injuries but is hoping for a winning record. The Eaglettes are relying on their eight seniors for leadership.

One of the seniors is Margo Hannan. This is her second year at Stratford, and she is looking to continue to make a big impact for the team.  Earlier this year she tore her meniscus but she will definitely come back strong this season.

One of her goals is to beat Mount de Sales. “They tied us this season and we want to get a win against them,” she said.
