Students ‘exercise’ their minds at book fair, which continues all week in Olson Library

If you want to exercise your body, you can do push-ups. Or maybe run around the block.

If you want to do calisthenics for your brain, the best way is to read a book.

“Exercise Your Mind” is the theme of Stratford’s Bedford Falls Book Fair, which runs through Friday in Stratford’s Olson Library from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

“[The book fair] introduces students and faculty to new titles,” Ms. Davis said. It is a chance for where “families come together and visit, it is very rewarding because the library gives every [preschooler] a book.”

Approximately 5,000 books will be available for purchase by students of all ages. Visits to the Book Fair are scheduled for beginners through the eighth grade during their normal library time.

Proceeds from the week-long fair will be used to pay for the library’s “Millionaire Reader’s Party” with animals from the Museum of Arts and Sciences, a puppet show for the 3k – 1st grade students, and summer activities, including visits from authors.
